16 year old needs help on rebuilding a 350ci chevy small block..?
hello, i have a 350ci chevy 2 bolt main engine that came out of a 1976 chevy c-10 truck, i wat to rebuild it, and my plans are to get a federal mogule engine overhaul kit with all new 30 over pistons, rings, berrings, oil pump, freeze plugs, and gaskets. then a edelbrock preformer cam, and manifold, and 600cfm carburator, and a msd hei distributor. the heads i believe are 1.94in and idk the exhaust and they have 64cc combustion chambers, they are the stock heads on the 1976 chevy c10. what will these mods give me? hp and torque wise, can i do better i just want it to be a very reliable daily driver with some punch to it.. thankyouu place help im on my own with this... thanks -ryan
300 h.p. if you are lucky..Your cam selection has alot to do with h.p. and tourque...You are doing all the right things...Adding a set of headers will also help boost up both...Don,t forget the mufflers!!!I have basically the same set up as you in my 72 landcruiser but it,s a 4 bolt main...
